About Us

Since it’s founding in 1939, Hanyang University has been guided by its philosophy of “Love in deed and truth”. It was the first university in South Korea to establish a ‘Volunteer Corps’ on campus. In 2017, in the spirit of the founding philosophy, Hanyang established the Social Innovation Center in order to tackle social problems by deploying effective and sustainable solutions. As part of its mission, Hanyang became the first Ashoka U Changemaker Campus in East Asia, an accreditation that recognizes campuses for its leadership in social innovation.
